Poem: Vacation Memories?

Perfect shots—
except for that guy with his back to us
as he looks over the River Ness,

anonymous tourists
crowding the doors of St. Giles Cathedral,
next to where my husband stands and waves,

unwanted lampposts, railings, sheep,
shadows, dead trees—cropped out,

Photoshopped from the scenes,
erased from our vacation memories.

Let's get rid of that guy at the railing.

Let’s get rid of that guy at the railing.

Who are all those people?

Who are all those people?

Shadows and lampposts

Fath, Hope and Charity, plus shadows and lampposts

Shadows stayed but lamppost is gone

Shadows stayed but lamppost is gone

No sheep were harmed in the making of this photo
