Flowing water and filtered light

In an early post I wrote about finding this in a notebook: “Sit quietly where there is flowing water and light filtered through leaves.”

After several years of drought in Central Texas, such places have been few and precious. My husband found one the other day and shared it with me today.

I found this beautiful snail shell near the creek. I’m going to send it to a friend with whom I still use “snail” mail.
